I’m Brooke LeAnn Love, a Carroll County, Virginia native, a mother, a designer, and someone who asks a lot of questions.

I’m curious about people, the stories we carry, and how the places we call home shape us. I enjoy conversations that leave me thinking differently and ideas that make me want to grab a notebook. The more I learn, the more questions I seem to have.

My grandparents owned the Hillsville Diner, and my great grandmother managed the cafeteria at Carroll County High School. Food has always meant more than a meal to me. It brings people together to share stories, pass down knowledge, and spend time with one another. A shared table is still one of my favorite places to begin.

That curiosity eventually led me to a bachelor’s degree in marketing and an MFA in Design Thinking from Radford University. Design gave me a way to explore questions, understand different perspectives, and turn ideas into something people can experience and use.

I’m drawn to creativity in its many forms: art, writing, storytelling, and the resourcefulness people bring to everyday life. I also love the mountains I call home and the discoveries that come from paying closer attention to familiar places.

I care about listening well, being useful, and staying open to the possibility that I have something wrong. I appreciate people who share what they know and make room for others to contribute. Those are qualities I try to bring into my own life.

There is still a great deal I want to learn, create, and write. I hope that curiosity takes me throughout Appalachia and, one day, around the world. Wherever it leads, I want to keep asking questions, building relationships, and leaving people and places a little better than I found them.
